Our final posting in this four-part series on video marketing outlines tips on creating and repurposing videos for use on a blog. Creating compelling content is no easy task for marketers today, and with quality videos that you’ve invested time and resources on, your company should be able to use and reuse/repurpose them strategically. Drawing on the insights provided by Jon Spenceley in his Marketo article, More Eyes on Your Video—How and Where to Share, we’ve outlined a few helpful suggestions on how to create and repurpose videos for a company blog.

These 4 suggestions include:

  • Break a recorded webinar into smaller, 2-3 minute videos and craft individual blog posts around each topic. An efficient and easy way to display engaging content on your blog is to also re-use webinar videos that are made into shorter segments.
  • Interview thought leaders in your space, and craft blog content from the interviews. An additional way to create fascinating content for videos is by interviewing those who have a high level of credibility in your industry. This will allow for a good mix in your content pool and will still be purposeful in the same token.
  • Include videos in new feature announcements. By using videos to explain and demonstrate your latest products and features to your customers, it will be more likely that people will use your products, and in turn, create a sense of brand loyalty.
  • Interview customers about how they are using your product. By making your customers feel like they are heard and are important will not only allow you to understand the things that need to be improved, but the people who view your video will see these somewhat testimonials and will believe in your example on how you addressed and solved any problems. You will gain even more engagement and credibility this way.

Including these types of foundation videos on your site or blog will also allow you to increase your SEO, as well as potentially convert more people to your brand as they will have an even better understanding of your business’s key objectives. Plus, it will give you a break when you need to generate new video content.
